FAQ
Questions, answered.
Hosting, data, languages, pricing and support — the questions we hear most.
Where is Qila installed?
On your own server or a cloud server you control. ABR Studio or a Qila Expert sets it up for you, online or on site.
Can ABR Studio see my data?
No business data leaves your server. The only outbound connection is a signed licence check-in, and Qila shows you exactly what it sends: the installation ID, the last 4 characters of the licence key, the version, the site address, the number of users and companies, enabled modules and packs, the last backup time and the PHP and database versions.
Does Qila support Arabic and other currencies?
Yes. Qila has a full Arabic right-to-left interface, each person chooses their own language, print formats can be bilingual, and documents can be raised in all major currencies with exchange gain and loss.
What is a Qila Pack?
A ready-made configuration for an industry — forms, workflows, reports, roles, dashboards and starting data — that can be previewed and installed in an afternoon. A pack only adds; it never overwrites.
Do I need a developer to change forms?
No. The Designer, Workflows and Automation are no-code. Every change is held as a draft, previewed, reviewed and audited before it goes live.
What does it cost?
Licences start from $35 per month for up to 5 users. Monthly, yearly and one-time licences are available; see the pricing page for set-up packages, Qila Packs and support plans.
What do I pay for separately?
Server or hosting, domain, SSL, e-mail sending (SMTP), AI API usage, WhatsApp/Meta messaging and GSP charges are paid by you directly to those providers.
Who is responsible for my server and backups?
You are. Qila runs on infrastructure you choose and control, so keeping the server maintained and taking regular, tested backups is the client’s responsibility. Qila includes encrypted, scheduled backups to make that easy.
What support is included?
Standard support, with a next-business-day response target, is included with every active licence. Priority and Premium plans are available.
Can I run several companies?
Yes. Multiple companies and branches run in one installation.
What server do I need?
A Linux server with PHP and a database, on your own hardware or a virtual server (VPS) from a provider you choose. For up to 10 users a small VPS of about $10–20 a month is usually enough; your Qila Expert sizes the server as users grow.
Can I see Qila before I buy?
Yes. Book a personalised demonstration and we show Qila working with the Qila Pack for your industry and your own processes, then send a written proposal with licence, set-up and timeline.
How long does implementation take?
Typically 3–5 days for one company with up to 10 users, 2–4 weeks for up to 50 users, and 4–8 weeks for multi-company roll-outs of around 100 users.
Can you move our data from our current system or spreadsheets?
Yes. Data migration is offered as a service: masters such as customers, suppliers and items, and opening balances, are imported and reconciled before go-live.
Does Qila work on phones and tablets?
Yes. Qila runs in the web browser, so it works on desktops, tablets and phones. Dashboards, reports and inbox approvals are designed to be used on a phone.
Can Qila send invoices and reminders by e-mail or WhatsApp?
Yes. Automation rules can e-mail documents as PDFs and send notifications by e-mail or WhatsApp. WhatsApp messages use your WhatsApp Business account, charged by Meta per message.
Does Qila have an API?
Yes. Qila has a REST API and signed webhooks for integrating with your website, e-commerce, banking or other systems.
What does a one-time licence include?
A one-time (perpetual) licence lets you use Qila without a subscription and includes the first year of updates. From the second year, optional annual maintenance (AMC) keeps updates and support coming.
Are updates included?
Monthly and yearly licences include updates and Standard support while they are active. One-time licences include the first year of updates, then annual maintenance.
Is Qila suitable for my industry?
Qila Packs are ready for retail, trading and distribution, manufacturing, make-to-order, restaurants and cafés, hotels, schools, clinics, and services and agencies. For other industries a Qila Expert can build a custom pack.
How many users can Qila handle?
Licences are priced in bands from up to 5 users to more than 100 users, with multiple companies and branches in one installation. Larger roll-outs get a custom quotation.
Do you provide training?
Yes. Training is hands-on and by role — cashiers, accountants, managers and administrators — using your own data, online or on site. Every client also receives the User and Configuration Manual.
How does Qila handle tax?
Tax rates are configured per item and company, and tax is posted with every transaction. India GST returns, e-invoice and TDS data are built in. For other countries’ e-invoicing mandates, ask our team about the current status for your country.
Can I design my own invoice and print formats?
Yes. The Designer builds print formats without code — with your logo, layout and fields, in English, Arabic or both on the same page.
How is Qila different from Odoo, Zoho One or Tally?
Qila is a complete ERP in one licence, installed on your own server, configurable without code and priced by user band rather than per app or per user. The compare page shows licence cost, implementation cost and capabilities side by side.
