Key takeaways
- Zoho One is a broad cloud suite of many apps, priced per user — about $37/user/month billed yearly in October 2026.
- Businesses look for a Zoho One alternative when they want their data on their own server, deeper ERP operations, or costs that don’t scale with every employee.
- Qila ERP is a single self-hosted platform: finance, sales and POS, inventory, manufacturing, HR and payroll on one database.
- Decide based on what you run daily: operations-heavy businesses benefit most from a unified ERP.
Zoho One promises “the operating system for business”: CRM, finance, HR, marketing, collaboration and more, under one subscription. For many companies that breadth is exactly right. Others start searching for a Zoho One alternative for three reasons: they want control over where their data lives, they need deeper ERP functions such as manufacturing and multi-warehouse inventory, or the per-user bill grows faster than the business.
Suite of apps vs one ERP database
An app suite connects many products. An ERP runs every process on one database. The difference shows up in daily work: in a unified ERP, a sale updates stock, accounts and tax in the same moment, and every figure can be traced back to its source document — no sync jobs, no duplicate records.
| Question | App suite (e.g. Zoho One) | Unified ERP (Qila) |
|---|---|---|
| Where does data live? | Vendor cloud | Your own server |
| How is it priced? | Per user, per month | Per user band; monthly, yearly or one-time |
| Manufacturing depth | Varies by app | Multi-level BOMs, work orders, scrap and costing |
| Inventory | Inventory app | Multi-warehouse, batches, serials, landed cost |
| Marketing, e-mail campaigns | Strong | Not the focus — integrate via API and webhooks |
| Custom forms and workflows | Available | No-code Designer, workflows and automation |
Cost comparison for 10 users
Based on publicly listed prices in October 2026, Zoho One for 10 users billed yearly is about $4,440 a year. Qila’s yearly plan for up to 10 users is $589, with every ERP module included. You add hosting paid directly to your provider — typically $10–20 a month for up to 10 users. Check the current Zoho One pricing, since prices vary by region and plan.
Competitor prices vary by region, edition and partner and may change; check with each vendor. Trademarks belong to their respective owners. Qila ERP is not affiliated with these companies.
Data ownership
For many organisations, the deciding factor is control. With a self-hosted system, your business data, documents and backups stay on infrastructure you choose. Qila’s only outbound connection is a signed licence check-in, and it shows you exactly what it sends: installation ID, the last four characters of the licence key, version, site address, user and company counts, enabled modules and packs, last backup time, and PHP and database versions. Where Zoho One may still fit better
- You rely heavily on marketing automation, social and campaign tools.
- Your business is mainly services and sales, with little inventory or production.
- You prefer not to have any server to maintain.
Where Qila fits better
- You trade, manufacture, run restaurants, hotels, schools or clinics — operations-heavy work.
- You want everything on one database with one sign-in.
- You need an Arabic and English interface and multi-currency documents.
- You want your data on your own server.
Qila also connects to other tools through a REST API and signed webhooks, so you can keep a specialist marketing tool and still run operations in one ERP.
Switching checklist
- List the apps you actually use each week.
- Separate operational processes (orders, stock, production, payroll) from marketing tools.
- Export masters: customers, suppliers, items and opening balances.
- Choose a Qila Pack for your industry.
- Plan a go-live date at a month-end.
